Job Purpose

Adani Defence and Aerospace established with a vision of creating a vibrant defence and aerospace manufacturing ecosystem has a single-minded focus on key platforms like helicopters, fighter aircraft UAV s etc.

The BU has grown rapidly in a very short duration in the Defence & Aerospace business through inorganic capabilities and establishing a string relationship with some of the most known and respectable global OEM s. With a unique inorganic strategy, Adani D&A has created a formidable portfolio of Tier I and Tier II offering of capabilities for Rotary Systems across multiple classes.

The position of Lead Strategy and M&A s shall be primarily responsible for the following

  • Lead the efforts of developing the inorganic expansion of the defence & aerospace business.
  • Support the BU Head with Stratgeic Insights into key happenings across the Defence Sector as well as supporting in decision making on key initiatives.
  • Support the Business Head in all the legal issues related to documentation or any specific legal inputs.
  • Work closely with Head-Finance on preparation of the annual budget and financial plan.

    Key Accountabilities

    1.

    Responsible for all new business opportunities analyzing the business opportunities, driving initial discussions to a logical conclusion for the Operations team to lead further.

    2.

    Lead efforts for inorganic expansion of Defence & Aerospace business through acquisitions

  • Identifying, evaluating & investing in companies across domestic as well as international areas.
  • Work involves understanding target s business strategy, operations & financials; assessing and analyzing investment thesis basis management discussions, due diligence, primary & secondary market information, financial modeling & presentation of business case
  • Responsible for successful execution of investments(end to end cycle) involving financial analysis, building an investment thesis, liasoning with consultants for completion of due diligence and lawyers for documentation

    Work closely with BU Head and providing support for legal documentation (incl. MoU s, SPA, SHA etc.]. Also coordinate with legal advisors for legal advise needed for the business.

    Work closely with BU Head on the business case for various projects and provide the BU with the various options for decision making.

    Work closely with Head Finance on preparation of annual budget and financial planning.

    Work closely with Business Development personnel to maintain institutional knowledge of the competitive landscape in the market segment and travel in support of program and business development efforts

    Analyze & understand customer strategies, future product plans & expansion activities for new business opportunities

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

    Masters in Business Administration from a Tier I / Tier II University
