Job Summary

Job description:
1. Responsibilities include managing a team, liaising with designers, coordinators and marketing team to generate content and oversee brand. Plan annual editorial calendars and magazine layouts.
2. Develop each issues editorial, working with the other editors to finalize specific stories, angles and sources.
3. The editor may or may not write articles, but reviews all articles for content before they are published.
4. Responsible for creating an editorial vision, or brand, that creates an audience and advertisers.
5. Responsible for Interview industry leaders, Rewriting articles and writing fresh articles as well.
6. Responsible to deliver content that attracts a specific demographic as this magazine derives significant income from subscriptions.
7. Responsible to communicate the business goals of the organization to the other editors and writers, helping to plan editorial calendars.

Requirements:
1. Bachelors / Masters degree in journalism or Mass communication.
2. Relevant experience in the field of journalism.
3. Knowledge on magazine content writing, editing, photojournalism, and graphics design.

Desirables:
1. Proficiency in English.
2. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
3. Expert in organizational and management skills.
4. Creative and confident.
5. Expert research and accuracy skills.
6. Expert computer operating skills.
7. Expert in managing time and completing the allocated work within the given time frame.
8. Ability to take quick decisions.
