R&d Technical Lead Job in Abb

This is an R&D Technical Lead role at Global Grade 13, reporting to the R&D Product Manager in the Business Area - Process Automation, located in Bangalore, India. You will be contributing with own ideas to identifying, proposing and implementing innovative technology development and solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Providing broad technical software support, training, pilots and consulting services for clients and to carry out the implementation of company software product in pulp and paper industry, working on digital project implementation in pulp and paper industry.
• Analyzing and gathering customer requirements and proposing appropriate solutions for pulp and paper projects, working with Project Managers to define scope, features and estimates for new projects, planning project activities with local and remote teams.
• Working directly on development tasks, providing technical leadership, coordinating with other resources and creating high quality products within the defined schedules and budgets, working with customers to define new opportunities for plant level applications.
• Being proficient or having the capability of becoming proficient at installing, configuring, developing a work-flow process, troubleshooting the software, and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches. Planning and making technological training for customer key users or internal team. Preparing clear & concise documents.
• Apart from project responsibility, also providing strategic sales, training, and customer/application support.

Your background

• Must have a bachelor s degree in B.E / B.Tech / MCA with 60%.
• Must have above/ overall experience 8-10 years, with minimum 5+ years of experience in windows application design and development using .NET framework, .NET Core, C#, WPF & WCF.
• Working with Pulp & paper industry applications & knowledge of any DCS/PLC/SCADA applications will be an added advantage. Experience in developing REST APIs and Micro Service applications is preferred.
• Should have proficiency in fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, should have Strong working knowledge in TypeScript, Angular and React. Experience with JS-based tools including Jasmin, Bower, Grunt and Gulp. Should have experience in developing at least one application as a full stack developer.
• Good knowledge of Visual C++, MFC, ATL COM is an added advantage. Message Queue system like RabbitMQ, knowledge of OPC DA/HDA/UA specifications and implementing the client using C++ & C# is a plus.
• Should have experience of Relational database Oracle / SQL Server/PostgreSQL, time series database. Knowledge of object oriented programming and design patterns & principles, excellent troubleshooting skills at module, product & system levels using any of the tools like DebugDiag, WinDbg ( system internal tools ), hands-on experience in Cloud technologies (Azure) and good problem-solving skills.
