Job Summary


This is a R&D Team Manager - MODP Tools role in Business Area - Motion and located in Whitefield, Bangalore. You will be responsible for maintaining the tools used for one of the leading product portfolio in our industry as well as developing totally new tools and solutions in an agile (SAFe) environment. You will drive quality processes and develop the expertise and competencies of the people in your team.

Your responsibilities

  • Staffing projects with competent people, making sure that the workload of the overall team fits the assigned projects.
  • Driving resource and competence management globally within the software area.
  • Fostering a climate of innovation by motivating, guiding and empowering team members.
  • Ensuring effective exchange of knowledge for promoting collaboration and developing new technological approaches and solutions.
  • Ensuring timely and on-budget execution of projects and working packages monitors progress and takes corrective actions if necessary.
  • Ensuring that the right product development processes and tools are adopted.
  • Proposing and executing improvement processes within the team.
  • Ensuring and fostering own organization and employees to gain the ability to challenge the status quo in technical issues, projects, and processes, and translates this into dedicated actions.

Your background

  • Bachelor or Master s degree in Engineering / Technology.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in software development, project and people management.
  • Technical background in C#, .NET, VS, C++/C, digital platforms.
  • Strong background in research and development practices and processes.
  • Experienced in international and cross-cultural collaboration and leadership.
  • Project management skills, with proficiency in leading development teams or development labs.
  • Strong team-leader with skills in team development and a focus on results and accountability.
  • Knowledge and experience in Motors, Drives, Electrical Machines, Industrial Automation domain is an added advantage.
  • Previous work experience within drives, software tools, digital area are beneficial.
