Your Key Responsibilities
As a Service Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for driving service sales in North India, expanding ABB s footprint across the region. You will develop new market opportunities, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to business growth by promoting ABB s service offerings.
- Sell services and solutions such as spare parts, training programs, annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), and installation audits to end customers.
- Ensure competitive and customer-centric offers by considering market conditions and customer needs.
- Identify and penetrate Installed Base (IB) customers, promoting upgrades, retrofits, and value-added solutions that enhance customer operations.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase demand for B&R solutions, aiming to establish B&R as a preferred choice among target customers.
- Generate new service sales leads through market analysis and proactive customer engagement, including participation in campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Track end-user satisfaction and ensure prompt resolution of issues through coordination with OEMs, support teams, and service teams. Escalate complex cases for faster resolution when needed.
- Monitor CAPEX investments in the region and provide timely information to OEM and PFA teams to align sales efforts.
- Apply strong business acumen, understanding customer business drivers, industry trends, competitive landscape, and economic factors to develop winning strategies.
- Collaborate with other ABB divisions and sales teams to enhance ABB s overall brand value.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics from a recognized university.
Experience:
- 2 to 4 years of sales experience in the Indian market, preferably within multinational companies.
- Hands-on experience with B&R Automation or competitor automation systems is essential, including PLCs, motors, drives, motion control, and robotics.
Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with mechatronics systems such as Linear Transport Systems, Vision Systems, and Robots is an added advantage.
- Experience in handling customers from industries and utility segments is preferred.
Language & Mobility:
- Fluent in English (spoken, written, and reading).
- Willingness to travel up to 60% across North India.
