Responsibilities: Local Server and Data Management: Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of on-premises servers and storage systems. Monitor server performance and promptly address any issues to ensure optimal uptime and performance. Implement data backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical business data. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls on local servers. Networking: Design, configure, and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and implement solutions to improve network performance. Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures. Collaborate with other teams to support network connectivity for various applications and services. AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and optimize the organization's cloud-based infrastructure on AWS. Deploy, configure, and maintain virtual machines, databases, and other cloud services on AWS. Monitor AWS resources, analyze performance, and implement cost optimization strategies. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards in the AWS environment. System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address potential issues. Conduct regular system updates, patches, and firmware upgrades to keep systems up-to-date and secure. Perform routine maintenance tasks on servers, network devices, and cloud resources. Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Respond to and resolve escalated technical issues from end-users and junior IT staff. Investigate and troubleshoot complex system and network problems. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and capacity planning. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or a similar IT role. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with local server management and data storage technologies. Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with LAN/WAN administration. Proficiency in managing AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams. Industry certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or similar are a plus.
