Job Summary

As a Reliability Support Specialist, you'll be a key member of our Reliability team, working closely with Engineering to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring our services and infrastructure remain fast, stable, and scalable. You'll focus on automating, integrating, and improving our monitoring, logging, and alerting services.

Responsibilities

  • Own the monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for the Software Engineering team, ensuring reliability requirements are met.
  • Learn and adopt new technologies to address challenges.
  • Support the Software Engineering team by monitoring and alerting on issues.
  • Respond to service issues, creating automatic alerts for responsible parties to enable self-sufficient first responders.
  • Act as a first responder for shared infrastructure issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement automatic resolutions, reducing the need for manual intervention.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to monitor platform and infrastructure issues.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a reliability or technical support-related role.
  • Proficiency in ANSI SQL (reading and writing queries).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to self-manage.
  • Experience monitoring REST APIs and web services.
  • Familiarity with high-availability systems.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, and Sumo Logic.
  • Knowledge of monitoring relational databases like MySQL, Aurora/RDS MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

Bonus Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Experience monitoring Hadoop ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Presto).
  • Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and monitoring in containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).

Qualification :
Experience with monitoring relational databases such as MySQL, Aurora/RDS MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
