Job Description: AWS Data Engineer 3M is seeking a AWS Data Engineer for Cloud FinOps within the Hosted Platform Services (HPS) team. Hosted Platform Services is a DevOps team that innovates Financial Optimization and automates multiple 3M/MModal hosted solutions including log aggregation, monitoring, deployment, clinical documentation platforms and ADFS SSO. The successful candidate will be excited about technology, data engineering, financial planning, and cost optimization. This role will be based out of our Bengaluru India Office. Main Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and workflows in AWS Kinesis, S3, EMR, RedShift, Athena, etc. Collaborate with Cross Functional Team and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications and data engineering solutions. Define Cloud Finance Management Governance and Operations Processes aligned to 3M Strategy and Vision within a multi-cloud environment. Manage and Implement CI/CD Pipelines, Cloud Formation Scripts and Automation in AWS. Expected to spend most of the time in developing Cloud Financial Management ETL Workflows, Visualizations, End User Experiences and Reporting centered around AWS Cost Intelligence Dashboard. Adhere to standard methodologies for coding, testing, and designing reusable code/component. Implement standardized, automated operational and quality control processes to deliver accurate and timely data and reporting to meet or exceed SLAs. To set you up for success in this role from Day 1, 3M requires (at minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor s degree in computer science (or related field) or a minimum of four (4) years of experience in development in lieu of the bachelor s degree education requirement. Four (4) years of mandatory experience in the Data engineering field. Advanced one (1) year of mandatory experience using AWS QuickSight. Advanced one (2) years of mandatory experience in Python coding or Java Scala or Node JS. Advanced one (2) years of mandatory SQL Programming experience in RDBMS including MSSQL, MySQL or PostgreSQL. Two (2) years of mandatory Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience. One (1) year of experience in troubleshooting APIs errors, web connectivity, database connections, stored procedures, and/or software code. Two (2) years of experience with the Windows Server and/or Linux Server Operating Systems. Three (3) years of experience in verbal and written communication. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: One (1) or more certifications from AWS Including AWS Professional, cloud Practitioner Level Certification and/or a FinOps Certification. Able to organize meetings and create supporting documentation including PowerPoint slides. Experience creating and managing AWS Cloud Formation Templates. Able to deploy CI/CD pipelines while utilizing GIT repositories. Three (3) years of experience using enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) tools One (1) year of experience with popular cloud-based data warehouse platforms, viz. Redshift, Snowflake. Experienced in developing or maintaining web-based applications and associated peripheral systems. One (1) year of experience in utilizing CloudWatch logs, Splunk or ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana). Ability to direct and influence others.
