Education:

Any Graduates and/or Master with specialization in civil/other engineering, management, Operations management, Purchasing and supply or any other equivalent education.

Experience:

Min 5 to 10 years proven experience as purchase manager (preferably min exp of 5 yrs. in construction industry)

Skills:
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Proficient in MS office and internet savvy
Description:
    • Package: 5 to 8 lacs
    • Administer on-line purchasing systems bases on demand and maintain min stock level of products where required
    • Conduct research to find the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
    • liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and
      customers
    • Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
    • Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers.
    • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
    • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and
      equipment.
    • Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future
      material availability
    • Process payments and invoices
    • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers keep contract files and use them as reference for the future
    • Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
