Job Summary Job Overview Position: Microbiologist Brief Job Description: Complete all assigned routine tasks efficiently. Maintain necessary paperwork and records as required by lab analysis. Conduct required method validations and submit job spreadsheets, raw data, and supporting documentation. Upon confirmation of results, forward documents for report generation. Adhere to laboratory safety protocols in both chemical and microbiological settings. Be flexible to work extra hours or shifts as needed. Ensure all documentation complies with quality system standards. Review audit documentation for completeness. Record actions in accordance with laboratory specifications. Possess a thorough understanding of microbiological analysis techniques outlined in test procedures. Conduct laboratory testing in microbiology and biochemistry for food, water, and agricultural products. Knowledge of ISO 17025 and relevant regulatory standards is required. Facilitate and execute operations related to biological testing for lab accreditation. Work collaboratively in a team, demonstrating adaptability while maintaining high-quality output. Focus on microbiological testing aligned with NABL certification and EIC, BIS approvals. Qualifications Essential: M.Sc. in Microbiology Desirable: M.Sc. or B.Tech in related fields Specialization: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology, Biotechnology Experience Profile Minimum Experience: 4-8 years in the food and agriculture sector. Industry/Sector: Focus on microbiological activities in commercial testing labs, specializing in the analysis of natural, agricultural, and food commodities. Key Competencies Strong academic credentials or relevant experience in microbiological testing. Ability to assess microbiological test scopes in accordance with Codex, EU, and FSSAI standards. Comprehensive understanding of spectrophotometry measurements. Knowledge of method optimization, validation, and verification. Familiarity with regulatory authority requirements, including BIS, EIC, APEDA, and NABL.
