The Job: Process Engineer - Evaporation
Job Summary:
As a Process Engineer - Evaporation, you'll play a key role in designing and commissioning medium to high complexity evaporation projects. You'll work independently and collaboratively to ensure projects meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed engineering and commissioning of evaporation projects.
- Develop mass balances, PFDs, PIDs, and component specifications.
- Prepare control philosophies and FDS documents.
- Perform line sizing and pressure drop calculations.
- Review equipment GA drawings, layout drawings, and piping 3D models.
- Ensure projects adhere to internal quality control procedures.
- Participate in project meetings and discussions.
- Commission and start-up equipment and processes.
- Train plant operators on new equipment and processes.
- Contribute to improving existing technical solutions and developing new ones.
- Travel internationally as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and tools.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Act as the Local Project Responsible, coordinating with global project managers.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of experience as a Process Engineer.
- Experience working on mass balances, PFDs, PIDs, and component specifications.
- Knowledge of control philosophies and FDS development.
- Ability to perform line sizing and pressure drop calculations.
- Knowledge of design codes and standards (ASME, DIN, etc.).
- Proficiency in CAD software (Cadison, AutoCAD).
- Experience reviewing equipment GA drawings, layout drawings, and piping 3D models.
- Experience in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or hygienic industries (a plus).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Customer-oriented and detail-focused with a holistic view.
- Proactive, outgoing, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
