The Job: Process Engineer - Evaporation

Job Summary:

As a Process Engineer - Evaporation, you'll play a key role in designing and commissioning medium to high complexity evaporation projects. You'll work independently and collaboratively to ensure projects meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed engineering and commissioning of evaporation projects.
  • Develop mass balances, PFDs, PIDs, and component specifications.
  • Prepare control philosophies and FDS documents.
  • Perform line sizing and pressure drop calculations.
  • Review equipment GA drawings, layout drawings, and piping 3D models.
  • Ensure projects adhere to internal quality control procedures.
  • Participate in project meetings and discussions.
  • Commission and start-up equipment and processes.
  • Train plant operators on new equipment and processes.
  • Contribute to improving existing technical solutions and developing new ones.
  • Travel internationally as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and tools.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Act as the Local Project Responsible, coordinating with global project managers.

Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of experience as a Process Engineer.
  • Experience working on mass balances, PFDs, PIDs, and component specifications.
  • Knowledge of control philosophies and FDS development.
  • Ability to perform line sizing and pressure drop calculations.
  • Knowledge of design codes and standards (ASME, DIN, etc.).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Cadison, AutoCAD).
  • Experience reviewing equipment GA drawings, layout drawings, and piping 3D models.
  • Experience in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or hygienic industries (a plus).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Customer-oriented and detail-focused with a holistic view.
  • Proactive, outgoing, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
