Job Summary

Education/ Experience and Skill Requirement

    Acuity is currently looking for dedicated and motivated individuals who have strong leadership, organizational and teamwork skills for its Investment Banking team based in Gurgaon.

    Required Background

    • Relevant experience of 4-6 years supporting Investment banking division of a bank, consulting firm, boutique firm, advisory firm

    • Highly developed written and oral communication skills including the ability to create and deliver professional product ideas and presentations.

    • Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools including MS Excel. Strong proficiency in other Microsoft Office products and the Internet.

    • Excellent working knowledge of databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Dealogic, FactSet, Factiva, Mergermarket, Pitchbook.com, LCD, Thomson, etc.

    • The candidate should have the ability to work independently and possesses the management/leadership skills to run the research on a day-to-day basis and apply his insights to client ideas

    • Previous client handling exposure is a must

    • Self-motivated and ability to motivate others

    • Effective negotiation skills

    • Ability to work in high-pressure situations (tight deadlines / earnings seasons)

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

    • Ability to make quick and informed decisions

    • Well versed with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Power Point

    • Post-Graduation in Finance or equiv. qualification (CFA, MBA (finance), CA or equiv.)

Responsibilities

    • Supporting clients in the private equity / investment funds (i.e. financial sponsors ) space

    • Understanding client requirements and estimating the time effort required

    • Working on potential targets / buyers / M&A screening, portfolio analysis, profiles (ranging from strips / thumbnails to one page summaries to detailed ones), transaction case studies and comps, and other adhoc researc

    • Also comfortable working on newsletters, M&A summaries & league runs, market & industry overview slides, macro level / country analyses, trading comps, and financial / operational benchmarking

    • Manage project timelines and quality of deliverables in a manner to ensure high client satisfaction

    • Ensuring timely delivery of reports to clients and keep seniors informed in advance in case of any delay

    • Seeking client feedback and taking due action if required

    • Ability to handle requests independently and communicating with onsite bankers on assumptions, clarifications and expected output

    • Setting up responsibilities for direct reportees; coaching them on complex assignments and reviewing their work with value add suggestions with a goal to exceed client expectations

    • Demonstrating strength and flair in client/requester relationship building and management, information/knowledge needs assessment

    • Interacting with key bankers and business managers in multiple global locations to understand their feedback on the service, providing recurring and ad hoc MIS, and also identifying growth opportunities

    • Looking after the training and development needs of the Associates and Analysts
